OCC Hosts Risk Governance and Credit Risk Workshops in St. Louis
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) will host two workshops at the Magnolia Hotel St. Louis in St. Louis, Mo., August 21-22, for directors of national community banks and federal savings associations supervised by the OCC.
OCC Reports First Quarter 2018 Bank Trading Revenue
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) reported trading revenue of U.S. commercial banks and federal savings associations of $8.2 billion in the first quarter 2018, which was $3.2 billion, 62.8 percent, higher than the previous quarter. In the report, Quarterly Report on Bank Trading and Derivatives Activities, the OCC also noted that trading revenue in the first quarter 2018 increased by 15 percent compared with the $7.1 billion reported in the first quarter 2017.

The FFIEC released new overviews and examination procedures for the Customer Due Diligence Requirements for Financial Institutions, issued as a final rule by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network on May 11, 2016, with mandatory compliance on May 11, 2018.
Military Lending Act: New Comptroller's Handbook Booklet and Rescissions
The OCC has issued the "Military Lending Act" booklet of the Comptroller's Handbook, for use by OCC examiners when assessing compliance with the Military Lending Act, as implemented by 32 CFR 232, "Limitations on Terms of Consumer Credit Extended to Service Members and Dependents."
